From January 2016, all Singaporeans who are 25 years old and above will receive S$500 from the government\u00a0(known as SkillsFuture Credit) to be used for your learning and skills development needs.<\/p>\n

As a Singaporean, I feel really grateful to be living in a\u00a0country that is not just\u00a0startup-friendly, but the\u00a0government also plays an active role in supporting the learning and development needs of its\u00a0citizens!<\/p>\n

Since SkillsFuture Credit was introduced, I have been receiving questions from\u00a0students and friends on\u00a0how they can make use of\u00a0SkillsFuture\u00a0Credit for online courses.<\/p>\n

<\/pre>\n

In this post, let me share with you how you can\u00a0claim your course fees using\u00a0your SkillsFuture credits.<\/p>\n

Step 1: Register For The Course<\/h1>\n
<\/pre>\n

Once you have decided on\u00a0the course that you want to take, you need\u00a0to purchase it on Udemy first.<\/p>\n

<\/pre>\n

Tip: Not all courses on Udemy are SkillsFuture Credit eligible! Make sure that the course is labelled\u00a0“SkillsFuture Credit Eligible” as shown below. If you want to be doubly sure, you can also\u00a0check the\u00a0SkillsFuture course directory<\/a>\u00a0to\u00a0make sure that it is a listed course.<\/p>\n

Step 2: Submit A Claim<\/h1>\n
<\/pre>\n

Once you have purchased the course, simply\u00a0follow the steps here to submit a claim through the SkillsFuture portal<\/a>. You can also submit the claim using\u00a0your mobile phone (click here for the steps for mobile device<\/a>).<\/p>\n

So there you are! Once your\u00a0claim is submitted and processed, the course fees\u00a0will then be reimbursed to your bank account.<\/p>\n

Your SkillsFuture credits can be used to pay for many\u00a0other skills-related courses,\u00a0from in-person classes to online courses. You can browse the\u00a0SkillsFuture course directory<\/a>\u00a0to take a look at the full list of approved courses.<\/p>\n
