SEO Profit Workshop – 23 Oct 2010

I will be running the next SEO Profit Workshop on the 23 Oct 2010 (Saturday), 9am to 1pm.

This workshop focus on the missing link where most web Entrepreneurs should know before optimizing their websites for Search Engines. There are three things you must know before optimization takes place:

  1. Keywords search volume
  2. Keywords profitability
  3. Keywords competition

If you miss out any point above, the optimization will not reap you any returns. In my workshop, I will share with you how you can identify keywords that are easy to rank and profitable for your businesses. This single skill is much for valuable than just knowing what to tweak on your web page. In additional, I will also cover some of the basics of SEO in the workshop.

You can register for the workshop or find out more details via this link. I look forward to see you there!

I have conducted a SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Basic Module yesterday sharing the essential SEO tips and techniques with the participants and I think perhaps I should also share some useful resources here as well for people who have just created your websites / blogs.

I was invited to give a talk in the Barter Vista event last month and thought it would be good idea to write something about it especially some of the things that I have highlighted in my sharing.

BNI Lesson #4 – Inviting People to Your Business Event

Let’s talk about inviting people to your business events in this post =) Although I tag this post related to BNI, the tips that I am going to share later applies to other events as well.

Image from BNI Harvest Networking Meeting

If you have tried inviting people to come for your business events be it networking or talks, you will agree with me that it is not easy to get the numbers especially if you are inviting business man and women because they prioritize almost all events according to ROI (Return On Investment) – if your event does not justify their time to be there, then most probably you will have a poor turnout.

Based on my experiences and observations from the other very experienced networkers in my business circle, I realize that there are only three things that you need to do it properly in order to have a high turn-up rate for your events.

I will be having a talk at Barter Vista networking event on the 24 May 2010 on how you can increase conversion through your website and some Search Engine Optimization tips if you are interested to increase your Search Engine rankings. I have attached the event poster at the end of this post in case you are interested to find out more.

About Barter Vista

Barter VistaBarter Vista was founded with the sole purpose to help Business Owners save cash by providing a barter platform. Members using this platform can trade their services for points (or up to 50% cash-barter points). One very useful service that I use is the rental of classrooms for my courses. Since last year, I have been using my points to trade for classroom space to conduct my courses and have saved more than thousands of dollars!

You can contact Peter Wang, one of my close business associates who is the Agency Director of Barter Vista if you want to find out more about how you can use this platform to increase your business cash flow as well.

Business Blogger Workshop – 17 Apr 2010

Business Blogger Workshop

I have just finished my Business Blogger Workshop yesterday and I am glad to help out more passionate people to start their blogs for their businesses! So you may ask what exactly is a business blogger? To me, someone who shares what he / she knows and monetize these knowledge through a blog is what I call a Business Blogger.

With more and more blogshops appearing these days, you may be surprised to find out that actually there are other profitable methods to earn as a blogger besides selling physical items. I am happy that the participants are so appreciative from my sharing about the 3 proven monetizing models that I shared with them for their blogs without having them to provide their own products or services =)

I would also like to thank Derek and Wei Sheng for helping me out as Co-Trainers yesterday and as well as the Business Bloggers who shared their passion with us from the bottom of their heart!

Singapore Google Analytics Master Class 2010

Singapore Google Analytics Master Clas 2010I have just returned from Singapore Google Analytics Master Class 2010 that was held yesterday on the 09 Mar 2010. I didn’t expect to see such a great turn out and according to Google, they received more than 400 registrations. The actual turn out is about 400 to 500 people (double the size of last year).

I didn’t really have a chance to take camera shots on the event as I met a few business associates including Rachit (one of the Speakers) and Andrew Boey. I have also managed to meet a few contacts who are entirely new to the Google Analytics. Since I am posting about the event, I guess I should share some vaulable takeaways especially if you are running your own sites but rarely use Google Analytics.

What is Google Analytics?

It is simply a tracking tool that tracks your visitors information and how they use your website. Common statistics you can find in your analytics are things like number of visits, duration of visits, bounce rates, traffic sources and top pages that your visitors view. There are a lot more things you can do with Google Analytics.

Most importantly, it is free to use =)

WordPress Blogging Workshop

I am glad with the advancement of technology, everyone now has access to so many tools that one can even create a website without knowing coding anymore! I conducted the WordPress Blogging Workshop last weekend and have shared with the Trainees how powerful is WordPress in helping anyone to create a simple site.

Comparing to Joomla, WordPress is much easier to use and customize. But having said that, it is not the software or design that determines the success of a Blogger. To me, running a successful blog requires:

Income Explosion Seminar by Sales Partners Singapore

Selling happens in every part of our lives and to me, I think everyone must know how to sell. After starting my own business, I strongly believe that if you know how to sell yourself, you will not have any fear of instability especially if you are holding a full-time job at this economy.

However, the reality is, not many people want to learn sales because of the many misconceptions.

I attended the Income Explosion Seminar by Sales Partners Singapore yesterday and feel that  I must really talk about this event as it not only reveals the real meaning behind sales and how we can grow a business systematically. In case you are not aware of this, Sales Partners is founded by Blair Singer, a Sales Coach with Robert Kiyosaki’s team. Robert Kiyosaki is the author of the top selling financial book, “Rich Dad, Poor Dad“.
